I am writing to thank Mrs Davies for the continual encouragement she has given my child in Year 4 this year.  Mr child has made significant progress in comparison to Y3 having received much needed positive praise and continual encouragement throughout the year.  He has gone from a child who had no real interest in writing to child who comes home and continually talks about his stories, the different ways in which he has been taught and is keen to share his reading with his teacher.  He now displays real enthusiasm and this is no doubt a real attribute  to Mrs Davies’s teaching skills.  In his own words “English is nearly as good as PE” which undoubtedly in his eyes is an immense accolade.
 
I have no doubt that at this precious age primary teachers have a significant impact on a child’s confidence and self belief and once again the input from Mrs Davies has been ‘magical’ for my son. Current Parent

My son has made outstanding progress in the 2 years he has attended the Sunflowers Nursery. He has enjoyed every moment of it and established positive relationships with his peers and staff. As a fellow teacher, I have taken a keen interest in the nursery curriculum and believe this to be a real strength of the school. My son has been provided with endless learning opportunities and talks with great enthusiasm at home about his experiences. May I say that it was a wise decision on our part to choose Staines Preparatory School first for my son and later for my daughter. Both children have received firm educational foundations and have developed excellent social skills which are so important in the World we inhabit.

I was just writing to say how happy and confident we feel that our boys are going to part of your lovely school. Honestly speaking as parents we have been to see a few other schools over the last few weeks ... and none other was as happy and inspiring at Staines Prep. Even my son said “Mum everyone seemed very happy in Staines”. I think it says a lot when a six year old makes this comment.

I am obviously very pleased with my sons 11+ results, but more so by his efforts and self discipline in recent months. I am sure this will stand him in good stead when he moves onto the next stage of his schooling.


Coincidentally, I wanted to share some feedback on my son’s interview at Halliford School. I was most impressed with his self-confidence, focus and mature attitude not just during the interview but even en-route, calming ME down when I had lost my way!

 
All this has only re-inforced to me what a positive impact Staines Prep School has had on my son and how you genuinely do help shape the whole person – and not just help them pass exams for external bodies. As busy parents, we are all too quick to spot faults and criticise schools and teachers – and all too easily forget to impart positive feedback. I congratulate all the staff for working cohesively to nurture our children. On behalf of myself and my family I would like to say a big thank you to Staines Prep for all the care you have shown the girls during their years at the school. Our daughters have enjoyed their days and have made some wonderful friends. They have always been very enthusiastic about their day at school when I have asked them what they have been up to.

 
We have all enjoyed taking part in the many fundraising events and, I in particular, have really enjoyed having the opportunity to “help out” on various school trips.

I wanted to thank you for everything the School has done for my son. The school has been the strength behind my son’s confidence, hard work and good results. The School gave him the opportunities and the feeling of security . He was given opportunity and guidance for his most crucially important time in his academic year with sincerity. I am writing to you to praise and commend the behaviour of your Year 6 pupils that attended the Junior Citizen Scheme at Sunbury Fire Station.

During the two weeks of Junior Citizen over 1200 pupils from schools across the Borough attended and Staines Preparatory School were by far the most polite, well behaved and well mannered pupils that we had. All the instructors from the various agencies on the day commented on the impeccable behaviour displayed by your pupils. They were an absolute pleasure to have and are a credit to the School. A. W.
