Information Technology

Throughout the School, ICT activities are integrated into all areas of the curriculum.  From Year 1 upwards pupils benefit from dedicated lessons with our ICT  specialist, who ensures the children receive a rich experience in a wide range of computing skills, from Word Processing and Data Handling  to Programming, Control Technology and electronic communications. 

At the heart of our ICT teaching is the splendid ICT Suite that is equipped with 23 computers with a very efficient Broadband connection which enables pupils to use the Internet confidently without frustration.

Computers are also situated in all Lower School classrooms, most Upper School classrooms and in the Library.

The software we use is carefully chosen for each age group to ensure continuity and progression.

Staff can make their lessons more effective by using the interactive whiteboard or by sending a demonstration to each pupil’s screen. Pupils can also participate and show what they have learnt to all their classmates.

The after-school Computer Club is a popular extra activity for our 9 – 11 year olds.
