Year 3 - Visit to Marwell Zoo
2nd June 2008
On Monday Year 3 enjoyed a very interesting day at the zoo to support their studies in Science (Food and Feeding) and Geography (Maps and Plans). In the Education Centre we made close observations of teeth and handled a variety of skills. Most of the party were brave enough to stroke a line snake and stick insect but the rat was far too lively to be handled! Watching the behaviour of a pack of meerkats, Chris the young giraffe and Kiska the young amur leopard were the highlights of the day.
We would like to thank the parents who accompanied the pupils for their help and the children for responding so enthusiastically during the visit.
