Year 2 - Visit to Windsor

4th June 2008

The weather just got better throughout the day for our excursion to Windsor. The children started the trip with a train journey to Windsor and Eton Riverside and then spent the morning looking at buildings in the town as part of their Art topic Can Buildings Speak? We were lucky enough to see the Guards changing at Windsor Castle and, in fact, the children became a tourist attraction themselves with people of many different nationalities commenting on the children’s smart appearance and excellent behaviour.

After a picnic lunch and a play in the park the children did some sketching of Windsor Castle before returning to school on the train. A very big well done to the children and many thanks to the parents who helped on the trip.
