Year 6 - Japanese Workshop
2nd March 2009
Marina Ishido Kidd came in to the school from the Japan Foundation on Monday March 2nd to teach the Year 6 pupils some Japanese. We were amazed at how much the children could learn in such a short time - about twenty different expressions and the way to count up to 100! Some children also put on their judo and karate outfits and told us a little about the martial arts. We also learned about Japan's geography and culture. Marina wrote to Miss Eastaugh afterwards and expressed that the children were 'really bright' because they could pick up so much new language. She also wished them luck in learning languages in future. Well done Year 6!
