Upper School Sports’ Day13th June 2009 The weather was fine for the Annual Upper School Sports’ Day last Saturday. All of the children had worked hard in the practices and there were some exciting finishes on the day. The children competed in a variety of Staines Prep traditional events: Stash the Cash, Human Chain, the Vertical Cane Relay and Throw to Target to name a few. Everything was very close between all four Houses and at the final Relay event, only 5½ points separated first and last. The Relay events proved to be thrilling finales with Raleigh edging ahead to claim the overall competition! Our congratulations go to all of the competitors for putting on such a wonderful display and our thanks go to the team coaches and parents for all of their encouragement. The final scores were: Raleigh - 65 points Shakespeare - 64 points Churchill - 61½ points Brunel - 59½ Points |
