Our Facilities

At Staines Prep we are enormously proud of our facilities which we believe contribute positively towards the outstanding learning within the school. The comment we most often receive is how amazed parents are at the range and quality of facilities we have beyond our modest exterior.

We are proud to offer state of the art teaching, sporting and performance facilities to all of our pupils. Our Founders Building consists of a full-size multi-purpose sports hall, contemporary changing rooms and toilet facilities.

Alongside having space for physical activity, the sports hall is home to a tiered seating auditorium and includes specialist lighting and audio equipment. The building also offers five additional classrooms, containing a dedicated science, music and ADT suite that most senior schools would be envious of!

We have a home economics classroom to bring subjects such as science and mathematics to life.

Our outdoor areas are green and spacious – often a surprise considering our location in the centre of town – and include facilities dedicated to a variety of sporting opportunities. We have two all-weather pitches (one of which is floodlit), two junior football pitches, cricket nets and dedicated school playgrounds designed around specific age groups. The Upper Prep playground offers a horizontal climbing wall and table tennis, and our younger pupils take advantage of large playground games such as snakes and ladders alongside other activities. We have a wooded area which Forest School trained teachers take lessons, alongside a large yurt outdoor classroom.
