Early Years Entitlement

Surrey County Council (SCC) provides six consecutive terms of funded nursery education for all three and four year old children from the term after their 3rd birthday, for up to 5 sessions of three hours per week.

We accept Early Years funding for pupils in Pre-Prep up to and including the term in which they turn five. To apply for this funding, please contact the Assistant Business Manager for an Early Years Free Entitlement Parental Registration Form.

For the 2023-24 financial year, Surrey County Council have confirmed funding of £77.10 per week based on 15 hours at £5.14 ph. The number of weeks eligible for funding varies each term. The following calculation for the academic year 2023-24 is based on the above rate, but this is likely to change in April 24, when Surrey County Council will announce the new rate for the financial year.

Children attending part-time hours in Sunflowers Nursery will receive a grant based on the number of sessions attended. The grant may be subject to alteration by Surrey County Council, however the following examples are given as a guide:
