Early Years Entitlement

At Sunflowers Nursery we accept Early Years Funding for pupils in Nursery and Reception up to and including the term in which they turn five. Sunflowers Nursery is a term time only nursery and open for 35 weeks per year. Our morning session runs from 8.30am to 12.30pm with lunch and a full day runs from 8.30am to 4pm.

The early years free entitlement is 15 hours per week over 35 weeks in a year. A full day would include 2 free entitlement sessions run within the day from 8.45am to 11.45am and 12.45pm to 3.45pm. The minimum attendance for Seedlings (N1, aged 2-3) is 3 x sessions and for Petals (N2, aged 3-4) is 5 x sessions. Should parents wish to increase their session timings this can be done half-termly or termly. Parents will be asked to indicate their provisional requirements at the time of registration.

To apply for this funding, please contact the Assistant Business Manager for an Early Years Free Entitlement Parental Registration Form.

Surrey County Council will advise the value of the funding and our invoices will show the balance of fees payable at the start of each term. Parents will be required to complete an initial registration for funding followed by a termly parental declaration form for Surrey County Council. Funding is available from the term after the child turns 3-years-old, and for 6 terms until the term in which the child turns 5-years-old.
