It can be overwhelming when choosing a school for your child as there are so many elements to your child’s first years of education, such as academic performance, personal development and well-being as well as the wider school community.

This choice is made even more difficult in an area where there are a number of great schools to choose from. So, how do you make that choice?

OPEN MORNING

We host a number of Open Mornings throughout the year as an opportunity for prospective parents to see our school in action. During a visit you will get the opportunity to meet our teachers, hear from our Headmistress Ms Sawyer, and tour the school with a member of our Pupil Leadership Team. Following the tour, refreshments will be served in the Peter Roberts Hall and there will be an opportunity to ask any questions you may have to members of our staff. The event runs from 9.30 am to 11.30 am.

UPPER SCHOOL OPEN EVENING

In addition to the above-mentioned Open Morning we will also be holding an Upper School Open Evening on Wednesday 29th January 2025 from 4.30 pm – 5.30 pm. This event is for families that have a child entering into Year 3 to 6.

PERSONAL TOUR

Visiting a school is the best way to experience first hand how a school operates; hearing directly from pupils and staff will give you the opportunity to see if the school would be a good fit for your child – a vital part as gut feel is often the overriding factor in decision making.

We can arrange a Personal Tour for you, where you would be welcome visit the school whilst in action, to ask questions, familiarise yourself with our facilities and staff, and get a feel for our supportive, nurturing environment, which will support your child every step of the way through their first steps in education.

TASTER DAY

We also hold regular Taster Days for children currently in Years 2-6, which is the perfect opportunity for your child to come and experience life at Staines Prep. We invite your child to attend a morning session, which would take place from 9.30 am until 11.30 am, during which time parents will have the opportunity for a tour of the school with our Admissions Registrar, Mrs Peters to ask any questions you may have.

Please note this is not applicable for current SPS pupils.
