Anti-Bullying Week

This week, SPS has participated in the annual Anti-Bullying Week, organised by the Anti-Bullying Alliance. We launched the week with Odd Socks Day, to celebrate what makes us all unique and an assembly to introduce the theme ‘Make a Noise’. Over the week, the children have taken part in different activities linked to Anti-Bullying week.

  • Reception and Nursery have created their own odd socks to show how we are all different and how that makes us special.
  • Year 1 & 2 created ‘kind socks’ to remind us of the different ways that we can be kind to one another.
  • Upper School looked at the meaning of ‘banter’ and when that can be taken too far and can lead to bullying. They created class poems about making a noise about bullying. Click here to read the poem written by 3C

Kirenpreet S in Year 5 created a wonderful anti-bullying poster, which is displayed around the school. It includes an important message to ‘be kind all the time at SPS, not just during Anti-Bullying Week’. Thank you, Kirenpreet!

Please also find attached a Child’s Guide to Bullying poster that our Pupil Voice team created. This has also been displayed around the school for children to read.
