Black History Month: Making History Everyday Competition

On Monday 9th of October, Dion from Chelsea FC Foundation visited SPS to present a workshop for Black History Month – the focus was on celebrating inspiring individuals from the black community who are ‘Making History Everyday’. Following this, all of the children in Years 5 & 6 selected an individual who they found inspiring and completed a writing task based on them. This work was entered in a competition run by the Chelsea FC Foundation.

We are thrilled to announce that out of the over 7,000 entries to this competition, two of the children at SPS have been selected as winners and invited to attend an event hosted at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday 31st October.

Congratulations to Harsimran G and Kiyan J. We look forward to hearing more from these two about their experience.
