Supporting Our Community

During their time with us, your child will learn through our Staines Prep Way values to respect and support other people, and as a school we reflect this by supporting a wide range of charities through our House and Community Challenges.

Our Charities Week sees each House – led by the House Captains – planning and carrying out fundraising activities such as a disco, spot the ball competition, a cake sale and a treasure hunt for their chosen charities.

Through our Christmas Appeal we supported the Evelina Children’s hospital, alongside SERV – Surrey & South London, and our families donated over 150 gifts to be given to children in hospital on Christmas Day.

Our pupils often extend their generous community spirit through supporting local charities outside school, giving their time to organise bake sales, pick up litter, take part in sponsored activities and even donate their birthday money!

Some of the charities that we have supported over the previous years include:

During the COVID Pandemic we have supported Foodshare by donating food and gifts to produce hampers at Harvest and Christmas time, and donating PPE to local healthcare providers. We have also been supporting local primary schools with donations of laptops to help disadvantaged children to access home learning, and by providing meals for families with children eligible for free school meals.
