Greek Mythology Day

On Tuesday this week, as part of ‘Storytelling Week’ and to tie in with our learning in both English and Classics, Year 5 enjoyed our annual Greek Mythology Day. Throughout the day the pupils (all dressed in creative costumes) explored some of the best-known and most-beloved myths and legends from the ancient world, participating in a range of activities based on these traditional tales. The children devised and performed role-plays to retell myths, created mathematical mazes and experimented with Archimedes’ ideas, produced artwork in the style of ancient pottery, and prepared Greek-inspired dishes in the Food Tech. room which were shared by all in a feast at the end of the day.

It was a legendary day, and the children had an epic time!
