National Storytelling Week

This week at SPS we have been celebrating National Storytelling Week. The children have appreciated how stories have the magical ability to capture our attention and transport us to new worlds.

Once again, the highlight of our Storytelling Week was ourBedtime Stories’ event. It was great to see so many children return to school on Wednesday evening, dressed in their pyjamas clutching their teddy bears. The atmosphere was one of excitement and anticipation as they gathered together to listen to a selection of captivating tales whilst enjoying their cups of hot chocolate.

Many children enjoyed taking part in ‘Buddy Reading’, where pupils from different year groups came together and shared their love for storytelling. Our Year 6 English Prefects also visited the Nursery and Reception children to read them some of their favourite picture books.
