Safer Internet Day

This week we were proud to support Safer Internet Day with a focus on this year’s theme of ‘Inspiring change? Making a difference, managing influence and navigating change online’

The week started with a parent/carer session followed by interactive workshops and assemblies for our pupils. The workshop facilitator from OpenView Education was impressed with the knowledge of our pupils on how to use the internet safely.

During the week pupils have been involved in a range of exciting and interesting activities from looking at how technology has changed over time, to using AI teachers and virtual projections of real people into a room when you are on the phone to them.

As we know, however, it is imperative that we continue to monitor our children’s online activity and put in the necessary measures to keep them safe. Below are some links to useful websites where you can find guidance on parental controls, including an E-Book from OpenView Education. Some information, of a sensitive nature, is not suitable to be shared via the school bulletin, but if you would like any other resources, please contact the school.
