We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring Early Years Practitioner to support children aged 3–4 years within a nurturing nursery environment. Responsibilities include assisting with the planning and delivery of engaging, developmentally appropriate activities, promoting children’s learning and wellbeing, maintaining a safe and stimulating classroom, observing and assessing progress, preparing resources, and working closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support each child’s development.

The role involves supporting the Nursery Teacher in providing high-quality care and education for children aged 3–4 years within a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment. Working as part of the nursery team, you will help plan, prepare, and deliver developmentally appropriate activities that encourage learning through play, promote independence, and support children’s social, emotional, and academic development.

As a Key Person, you will build positive relationships with a small group of children, monitor their progress through observations and assessments, and contribute to maintaining accurate learning records. You will support pupils individually and in small groups, helping them access the curriculum and achieve their full potential while using effective behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive learning environment.

The role also includes organising and maintaining the nursery environment, preparing learning resources, using ICT to enhance learning opportunities, and assisting with daily routines, including lunchtime supervision. Effective communication with colleagues, parents, carers, and relevant education, health, and social care professionals is essential to ensure children’s needs are understood and appropriately supported.
