Office Manager – term time only

The Office & Operations Manager plays a central role in the smooth running of Staines Prep. You will lead the Support Staff office team, ensuring a welcoming, professional environment for pupils, parents, and visitors, while maintaining effective communication across the school. The role oversees key administrative functions including attendance, transport, extra-curricular activities, and the school library, contributing to the organisation and efficiency of school life.


  • Main Duties & Responsibilities
    Lead and manage the Support Staff office team, including performance management and workload planning
    Create a professional, welcoming reception for visitors and provide first-point contact for parents and contractors
    Manage attendance, registration, and pupil whereabouts across the school
    Administer school transport and liaise with parents, drivers, and accounts
    Organise and coordinate extra-curricular activities, music lessons, and school events
    Oversee the library and maintain accurate records and stock
    Support admissions, marketing, and school events as required
    Ensure compliance with safeguarding, Health & Safety, and school policies
  • Person Specification
    Proven team management experience, ideally in a school or customer-focused environment
    Excellent organisation, communication, and IT skills
    Friendly, professional, and proactive approach
    Discretion, reliability, and flexibility
    First Aid qualification or willingness to complete training
