Last Friday, Year 1 pupils had an amazing day at the Gunnersbury Park Museum.
We started the day by looking around the museum, where the children were able to dress up in Victorian clothes and explore some Victorian toys. In the afternoon, the children got to experience a Victorian kitchen. They learnt all about the work that would be done in a Victorian kitchen, including using a mortar and pestle, doing the laundry, collecting ice, and keeping food warm. They enjoyed dressing up and joining in with the kitchen chores, this was a definite highlight of the day.
The children thoroughly enjoyed their day at Gunnersbury Park and were wonderful ambassadors for Staines Prep!
