Year 3 visit Kew Gardens

On Wednesday 10th January, Year 3 visited Kew Gardens as part of their rainforest topic for this term.

They had the opportunity to explore the different observatories and particularly enjoyed the Palm House. The Palm House, offered them a detailed insight into the tropical conditions of many rainforests around the world, including The Amazon Rainforest. The heat and humidity took them by surprise as did the did the size of many of the plants, trees and leaves. The Temperate House was a lot cooler and had lots of bright and vibrant plants for them to look at as well as a small waterfall. The trip brought the rainforest to life and was thoroughly enjoyed by all the children and staff.

More photographs from the trip can be viewed here.
