Year 5 visit Hampton Court Palace

Year 5 had a excellent day at Hampton Court Palace today on their trip to support the learning about the Tudors in history lessons. The children spent the morning exploring the apartments of Henry VIII and the Tudor kitchens, finding out what it might have been like for people both ‘upstairs and downstairs’ in Tudor Times.

After lunch the children participated in workshops investigating a range of the different jobs at court to examine what it might have been like to work in service of the royal court, and also discovering how technology, exploration and trade were changing the world of the Tudors.

Thanks to Hampton Court Palace for helping to bring history to life!
